Reflecting on Our Impact

Our recent On Ramps Economic Development Corporation (OREDC) meeting was a testament to our commitment to efficiency, collaboration, and community-building. We started on time, reinforcing the value of punctuality in respecting each other’s time. Meeting in person created a more engaging and productive atmosphere, allowing for meaningful discussions and active participation. The intentional five-minute break was a great addition, providing an opportunity for board members to connect and strengthen our sense of community.

As we look ahead, my desire for our shared vision remains clear: to seek out, equip, and replicate impactful economic development opportunities that create sustainable growth for our communities. When we identify the strategic initiatives, providing necessary resources, and developing scalable models, we will continue to drive economic empowerment and long-term success.

An area for improvement is the order of operations in preparing for our meetings. To enhance efficiency and transparency, we will ensure that financial statements are prepared and sent out for review on the Monday before our scheduled monthly meetings. This will allow board members ample time to review key financials and come prepared for more informed discussions.

Lastly, I want to extend a warm welcome to Chris and Lydia Baeza as our newest OREDC Board Members. We are excited for the expertise, passion, and fresh perspectives they bring to the team, and we look forward to working together to further our mission.
